My Quick Packaging Bin for Poshmark

Packaging up your Poshmark item shouldn't send you in a frenzy around your house to find scissors, tape, cards, oh my. It should be easy and fun to get your packages ready to be shipped.

I made my little packaging bin, so I could keep it bedside so if an item sells when I'm all cozied up and ready to sleep I can just quickly get my item ready to ship out in the morning.

In my packaging bin, I have everything I would need to decorate and ship my packages. I have tape, scissors, ribbon, thank you cards, shipping envelopes, and pens. It just makes everything easier and quicker. Poshers love getting their new product as quick as possible!

Homemade Pumpkin Pie!

Single Crust Recipe
1 1/3 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening
3 1/2 tablespoons cold water

Mix flour and salt together in medium bowl. Cut shortening into flour (I just used my hands). Add the cold water 1 tablespoon at a time. Mix dough and repeat until moist enough to hold together.

With flour on your hands, shape the dough into a ball. On a floured board, roll your dough out about 1/8 inch thickness. Cut your dough with a sharp knife about 1 1/2 inches bigger than your upside down 8 inch pie pan.
Roll up your dough onto your rolling pan to ease it into your pie pan.

Filling
2 cups mashed, cooked pumpkin (cooled, and strained)
12 ounces evaporated milk
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 400 degrees!

In a large bowl, mix all of the ingredients together then pour into prepared pie crust.
Bake for 40 minutes or until knife inserted and comes out clean.

The pie filling looks more runny when you use fresh pumpkin and less orange, but it firms up nicely in the oven. You may need to cook your pie 5-10 minutes extra if using fresh pumpkin.

I followed this recipe, but made my own pumpkin.

How to Personalize Your Poshmark Package

One of my new past times is selling things on my online. I have outgrown a lot of my clothing and want to make more room in my closet, so I decided to start selling them on Poshmark.

For those of you who have never heard of Poshmark… Poshmark is a website that allows you to sell and purchase clothing from other People's "closets." Some people have thousands of items and some people have two items. For some, it is a full time job. For me, I just want to clear out some things I never wear.

Now, personalizing your Poshmark package is the most important step in being a Poshmark seller. You want to stand out from all of the other sellers and make your buyers know that their purchase is special and important to you. Everyone loves getting mail, especially mail that looks cute and isn't a bill! I would never want to receive something I purchased just clumped up in a box. It is very important to make your customer feel like they are unwrapping a super awesome item and you should never ever fail to do so.

You don't have to spend a ton either to make your package extra special. You can hit up the Dollar store and get cute gift wrap, tissue paper, ribbon, tape, and Thank you cards to push your package over the top. Just $5 will help you wrap up 8 beautiful packages.

Hope this helps you wrap your packages up.

Already Missing Summer!

Our last summer trip we went to Ocean City in Maryland in August. It's already December. At this time I didn't know I was pregnant yet, but my body sure knew. I got sick after eating, drinking, sleeping, basically everything made me feel weird inside. I was only two weeks pregnant too.
I still managed to eat fried cookie dough and funnel cake! You can't pass fried desserts up.

Super Soaker Gender Reveal

My little cousin Destiny is also having a baby. Destiny and Tyler had a cute little gender reveal party to let us know that she was having a little girl. I think it was a cute way to let us know the gender of their baby.
I was too impatient to find out the baby’s gender and tell everyone that we are having a boy to do any special reveals. Either way, if you decide to have a party or not to reveal your baby’s gender, it still ends up being super special and exciting.

Sneak Peek and Early 3D Sonogram Gender Reveal

Me and my husband were too excited and way too impatient to wait for our 20 week visit to find out if we were having a boy or girl, so we did some research. We found an awesome early gender test called Sneak Peak thanks to my mom and older brother. Well, when I was finally 9 weeks pregnant my mom ordered the test for us and we received it two days later. Super excited, I broke into the packaging immediately and read the instructions. Before performing the test, I had to scrub down the surface I was working on and then my hands for two minutes.

The test is a simple blood test at home. They provide blood stick needles and a little container to collect your blood. Easy right?! Well, it took me a few finger pricks and a couple minutes to squeeze out enough blood. It is a little messy but I think it is a surefire thing! I sealed up my package and slipped it in the mail box and 4-5 days later we received the exciting news via email! We’re having a baby boy!

Well anyways, this wasn’t enough proof for us so we decided to have an early elective 3D sonogram at 14 weeks and 5 days pregnant to see if we really are having a little boy. Well, after seeing the sonogram images we can surely see that we are having a little boy!

So, yes the Sneakpeek gender test was accurate for us and wee got to find out our baby's gender just before 10 weeks! So if you are just as impatient as we were I'd give it a go. I'd definitely use this test in the future.

Joey's Bedroom Art

I have had a lot of time on my hands so I started working on Joey's room already. I still have 20 weeks to go but I'd rather be ready earlier than later. I used wooden letter to paint in a Dr. Seuss theme for his wall. I cheated a little by printing out black and white Dr. Seuss images and gluing them over the painted letters and then I painted them in with color after. I still think they turned out nicely. I need to do a slight touch up on my blue lines to get them a little more straight. I can't draw a straight line with a ruler or tape!

For the wall where the crib is going, I painted the Cat and the Hat on the left side and Thing 1 and Thing 2 on the right side.
I was just going to keep the room plain but I can't wait for him to get here so I keep doing random things to fill up my time so it goes by more quickly.

They turned out a lot better than I thought they would. I thought I was going to have to repaint the walls to cover them up.

November Ipsy

I received my November Ipsy! I was super excited because I keep hearing good things about Ipsy!
Ipsy is a monthly subscription that gives you 5 samples of beauty products inside a unique glam bag for just $10 a month.

Inside I found:

1.) Twisted Kises a matte lip pencil by Eddie Funkhouser in the shade kiss me twice.

2.) Wonderwand Mascara by Ciate London
3.) 100% Pure Argan Oil by JOSIE MARAN
4.) Nail Polish by Trust Fund Beauty in the shade Kiss Kiss, Darling
5.) Multifunctional Pigment by jelly pong pong cosmetics in the shade cosmic light

The Twisted Kisses wears almost like a chapstick and stays pretty moist after applying not like many matte lip shades I've used before. It is a little thicker than a chapstick but has the same slippery consistency.

I used the mascara on only one side of my eyelashes so you could see the difference. It is very volumizing and applies very smoothly.

I haven't tried this product yet, maybe I'll use it as a face moisturizer.

The nail polish is beautiful. I used one coat on my thumb nail and it applied smoothly and thick enough that you don't need two applications. It is definitely a fall color.

I have no idea what I'll do with this pigment. This is probably my least favorite item in the Ipsy bag, but I'm sure I'll use it once or twice before I just give up on it.

Overall, I give my first Ipsy Glam bag a 4.5/5. I'm excited about most of the items I received and can't wait to wear them.
